T DELFíN

I am a cultural anthropologist and filmmaker with a passion for Latin America. My work has taken me to Peru, where I did extensive research on the post-insurgency period; the Yucatán Peninsula, where I was a research anthropologist and script writer for Discovery Communications; and, most recently, to Mexico's West Coast where I have been studying an LGBTQ neighborhood since 2013. My debut film, a Spanish-language documentary about a Mexican transwoman, "Daughter, Sister, Mother," is now available for select screenings.

I received my Ph.D. from Stanford, M.A. from U.C. Berkeley, and B.A. from The Evergreen State College.
